Clariant launches Licosperse pigment preparations

Clariant has broadened its contribution to sustainability with the launch of its new product line, Licosperse, more environmentally friendly pigment preparations for varnish applications.

To simplify the use in the manufacturing processes of the end user, the preparations are produced with non-toxic raw materials, do not produce dust and are free of heavy metals and resin.

“The pastes fit easily into the base carrier for effortless production of consistent color. They can also be incorporated at high temperature depending on the production method. There are no dangerous goods restrictions for transport and storage, which reduces the risks associated with handling and transporting the products, ”said Rossitza Dimitrova, Regional Director of Technical Marketing for Clariant, Middle East and Africa.

Licosperse preparations are recommended as alternative dyes to replace dyes in solvent and oil-based applications such as shoe and floor polishes, fertilizers and herbicides, as well as wood stains and varnishes. Further areas of application are expected in the future.

As a single product applicable to many different applications, the ready-to-use mixtures save time and money in the coloring process. This new range supports Clariant’s goals of ensuring that products meet international environmental, health and safety performance standards.
