Dada Group’s JDDJ Executed First Order of JD618 Grand Promotion and Saw Sales Increase

Of May 31st, 8 p.m. at June 1, 8 p.m., sales generated by JDDJ and JD’s Shop Now service increased 175% year over year. Sales of a number of categories increased more than 2x year-on-year, including mobile phones, computers, apparel, beverages, mother and baby, home appliances, pets and personal cleaning.

JDDJ and JD’s Shop Now service have operated more than 150,000 offline stores, in more than 1,700 committed cities and counties, to provide consumers China with products in all categories, deliverable in one hour.

On-demand commerce has become a key driver of omnichannel growth for offline retailers and brands. On the first day, online sales of physical retailers such as Decathlon, Zhongbai Supermarket, Jiarong Supermarket, Wangzhongwang Market, increased more than 200% year-on-year. Rainbow Supermarket and Sofly participated in JD618 for the first time and also experienced significant growth.

Well-known brands also saw strong growth on JDDJ and Shop Now. Day one sales from brands like Unilever, Yili, Apple, Huawei, Honor, Dell, Xiaomi, Haier, Hisense, Estee Lauderincreased more than 2 times year-on-year.

During this JD618 big promotion, JDDJ upgraded the live broadcast program and launched the “Thousand Stores Live Shopping Carnival”. By collaborating with more than 22,000 physical stores, the number of viewers exceeds 1.5 million in a single broadcast.

Besides products, consumers can also enjoy convenient services such as housekeeping, laundry and shoe washing on JDDJ and Shop Now. On day one, JD’s self-contained housekeeping order volume was up 248% year-on-year, and laundry service was up 233% year-on-year.
