Ispa link & Link Axix – The new removable and fully recyclable Nike shoes

ISP link and Link axis are two innovative sneakers from Nike designed to be disassembled and fully recycled at the end of their life cycle.
Following the principles of the circular economy, their shoe design was inspired by the so-called ISPA philosophy ((Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt) and invites designers to break traditional rules.
The capacity of ISP link Disassemble model allows the shoe to be easily dismantled and its materials recycled separately, thus considerably reducing the amount of waste and, therefore, the impact on the environment.
The result of thirty years of experimentation, Ispa Link, entirely made with recycled materials, is a shoe without glue maintained by its geometry. Interestingly, this design approach also resulted in a modified manufacturing process that reduced energy consumption and simplified production.
