Obituary: Clarence Ansel Blodgett Jr.
SKOWHEGAN – Clarence Ansel Blodgett Jr., 75, returned home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 18, 2021, at Woodlands Memory Care in Madison, Maine. Clarence was born January 9, 1946 in Fairfield, Maine, to Clarence Blodgett and Christine Decker Blodgett.
He grew up on a farm and attended Fairfield schools until he enlisted in the military in 1965 and served until 1967. In 1968, Clarence married the love of his life, Lena Grace Fotter. Clarence excelled in littleway stitching and was employed by Norrwock Shoe, Dexter Shoe, then retired from New Balance Shoe in 2010, while maintaining a small farm on the side. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, getting together with his family, playing the guitar, hunting deer and going to the cattle auction.
Clarence was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Christine, his sisters Priscilla Garland and Bernice Lovejoy, and his brothers Earlon, Gerald and Brian. He is survived by his 53 year old wife, Lena; son Andrew S. Blodgett and his wife Danielle; Troy A. Blodgett and his wife Cherri; daughters, Marlena Lewis and her husband Brandon; Tina Cameron and her husband Matthew; grandchildren Brittnie Loucks, Eli and Grady Blodgett, Simon, Ava and Leah Lewis, and Kerra and Timothy Cameron; sisters Carolyn Vining, Norma Wentworth, Janey Blodgett, Debbie Demo, Donna Blodgett. Brothers; Donald, Ron, Terry and Steve. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial and funeral service will take place in the spring of 2022.
