Lorraine E. Williams Nutter

BELGRADE – Lorraine Nutter, 93, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 16, 2022 at Glenridge Nursing Home. Lorraine was born on April 1, 1928 to Amedie and Rose (Veilleux) Williams of Livermore. Livermore and worked for Livermore Glove Factory, Livermore Clothespin Factory and Norwalk Shoe Factory in Jay. Lorraine met her husband, Richard E. Nutter, at a barn dance and married on April 20, 1957. Together they raised nine children in northern Belgrade. Lorraine enjoyed going to barn dances, playing cards with friends, and taking long walks. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Richard; her brother, James Williams; and his grandsons, Tyeis Nutter and Dylan Willette.Surviving are his three sons, Bruce (Beverly) Nutter, Douglas (Lisa) Nutter and Barry Nutter; his six daughters, Bonnie Ramsdell, Tammy Libby, Crystal Nutter and her partner, Terry Greenleaf, April (Clayton) Gallagher, Rhonda (Jeff) Willette and Kimberly (Scott) Alexander; his grandchildren, Ricky, Danny, Jeremy, Kyle, Nicole, Nathan, Ashley, Scotty, Hunter, Larry, Randy and Jessica; several great-grandchildren; his sister, Theresa Williams Hiscock; his sister-in-law, Jeannine Williams; and many nieces and nephews. A cemetery memorial service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade in the spring. Special thanks to the staff at Glenridge Nursing Home and Beacon Hospice of Augusta.
