Runners of all ages gear up as the 2022 Grandma’s Marathon fast approaches
As the anticipation grows, so does making sure all your essential gear is ready to go. One of the many factors that allow you to have a good running experience is having a good pair of running shoes. “There are different degrees of support, different degrees of cushioning in every shoe. In addition to having these shoes, having helpful tips can be helpful in preparing for the big race. “Break in your shoes, don’t break out a brand new pair of shoes on race day. At Saturday’s event, Dakoth Lindwurm shared how she went from her first race to winning the 2021 Grandma’s Marathon. “The first time I ran was my first marathon. I I was still learning a lot and enjoying the process. So coming back in 2021 to win, I was just a lot more aggressive and a lot more confident.”

A runner is here to share some motivation for you. “Just start small and build, and before you know it, you’ll be running 5 or 6 miles as your short run. Just start small and keep going,” says Amy Simpson.
